Craig Nash is the Island New Democrat candidate in the By-Election slated for July 13. Nash is a Holland College graduate in advanced computer studies, a former military member, a former small business owner and retail manager.
“Cornwall is the fastest growing Island community, and like many Island communities, has many important issues to address including health care access, housing, and the cost of living. I’ll make every effort to address these issues, and more”, commits Craig Nash. “I’m very pleased with the leadership and work of Thomas Burleigh, Leader of the Island New Democrats, who is standing up for everyday Islanders, and I’m proud to represent the Party in the District 16, Cornwall-Meadowbank By-Election.”
Nash previously ran in District 16 in 2019, and for the federal New Democrats in Malpeque later in the same year. Craig Nash is a long time New Democrat who has championed human rights issues and voiced the concerns and hopes of Islanders over the years.
“I look forward to hearing from, and speaking with Cornwall-Meadowbank residents at the doorsteps, meeting halls, and panel discussions during the course of the By-Election to ensure their issues, concerns, and aspirations are fully addressed,” concludes Craig Nash.

Tax credit on Contributions
You can claim a tax credit on contributions made to recognized Prince Edward Island political parties, and to candidates who were officially nominated under the Elections Act of Prince Edward Island. The annual maximum credit is $500 and is calculated as follows:
- First $100 contributed – 75%
- Next $450 contributed – 50%
- Next $600 contributed – 33 1/3%
